Tess Rollins is a seasoned executive with a robust background in graphic design and implementation of placemaking to successfully connect communities through culture, lifestyle, and history. With over 20 years of experience from the highly competitive sports technology industry to focusing on the integral importance of small businesses with a local impact on its community, Tess has a proven track record of transforming imagination and ideas into innovative initiatives.

Relocated from the Metro Washington, DC region, Tess brings to Chattanooga her exceptional ability to conceptualize and execute high-impact programs and events. As the project manager for “Wander In”, a retail incubator program showcasing makers and artisans through collaboration between a non-profit organization and the City of Fairfax’s economic development team, Tess was able to create retail shopping combined with a maker experience for the community to purchase products or have a place to experience of hands-on creativity.

As the chair of Asian Festival on Main, an annual marquee event in Old Town Fairfax, Virginia, Tess led a committee to host an event of culture and traditions. The Asian street festival not only engages but also inspires audiences to learn about one another through food, music, performances, and products.

Tess has also hosted a local show, “Simply Enhance,” which showcases small businesses and their owners to share their stories to help them be visible to become or remain viable. She enjoys giving back to her community by serving on several sports organizations boards and committees to promote the arts such as the DC International Shorts Film Festival.

Tess immerses herself in the community by exploration and discovery. You’ll literally find her visiting businesses, parks, and neighborhoods, so that Tess can personally get a comprehensive understanding of what is needed to drive growth and visibility and potentially fill in any gaps which are underserved. As the Director of Programs & Events, Tess is committed to fostering collaboration, innovation, and excellence. She brings a unique creative vision to every project, a passion for offering memorable experiences, and dedication to her community which makes her an advocate for all of those living, working, staying, and playing in Chattanooga.
