What is your role here at River City?
Vice President, Planning & Development. I am responsible for all the brick and mortar facilities we own or other properties we work with others to improve. I work with developers to assist them with realizing their developments and work with urban designers to plan for the future of downtown. Essentially, I get the opportunity to work with the community to make Chattanooga, the place I live and love, even better than it already is.
What is your favorite project you’ve been a part of here at River City Co?
The Block. The design exploration, research, and development to create the public art outdoor climbing wall in 12 months was an amazing and unique experience, and I get to see those efforts every time I’m in the Riverfront area.
What’s your favorite place to grab dinner in Chattanooga?
So many great local options, but if I must narrow down to a few it would be Main Street Meats, Flying Squirrel and more recently, Calliope.
What is a hidden talent or a hobby you have?
I’m pretty good at and enjoy chopping vegetables. I love to cook and while most people hate the mundane task of prepping, I find it can be my Zen time and a way to wind down from a hectic day. I also love riding my road and mountain bikes, which also allow me to escape from the realities of day-to-day life.
