It’s Pride Month! We’re happy to have so many businesses, organizations and individuals who are working to make this an affirming and inclusive place to live, work and play. Every Chattanoogan deserves to feel safe and seen. We put together a list of pride events happening in Downtown—get out there and celebrate!
Thursday, June 15: “Pride Trivia Night” with Chattanooga Pride
Join Chattanooga Pride at Mellow Mushroom for a night of trivia and lots of laughs, hosted by Levi Witt and Arnold Ruelas! While you’re there, snack on a stone-baked pizza and beat the heat with a handcrafted cocktail or mocktail.
Friday, June 16: “SagiTTarius Ponderosa” Presented by Obvious Dad Opens
“Sagittarius Ponderosa”, a play by MJ Kaufman presented by Obvious Dad, opens at the UTC Fine Arts Center and will be showing until July 2. “A charming story that finds Archer at the center of multiple transitions in his life—one of the most immediate transitions being a move back home to take care of an ailing parent. He finds comfort and adventure under the branches of the oldest Ponderosa Pine, a place where he meets a stranger who knows all about the forest and the pain of losing endangered things. As Archer navigates the changes in his life, he discovers the power and legacies a name can contain.”

Saturday, June 17: Seed Theatre Presents “Chattanooga Youth Pride”
Join Seed Theatre and other local friends to celebrate the first annual event for youth and their families! Stop by Mizpah Congregation between 3 PM and 8 PM for vendors, music and lots of fun. Free for all ages! Learn more here.
Saturday, June 17: “Brunch Babes” at Springhill Suites
Celebrate in style with some of your favorite local queens. Ticket includes a FULL buffet style brunch. The doors open at 11 AM and the show starts at 12 PM. Get your tickets here!
Saturday, June 17: “Life’s A Drag!” Stoveworks Fundraiser
Spectrum, The Seed Theater/Black Rainbow Movement, Chattanooga Pride and Soft Animal are partnering for the celebration of the summer! Enjoy music by DJ Christo, comedy by Bridgette Martin, an amateur drag show, a photo booth, makeup artists and other activities from 6 PM - 8 PM at Stoveworks. 18+. All ticket proceeds will be divided by the partner organizations. Click here for tickets!
Tuesday, June 20: Community Yoga with Outshine Yoga
Come to Renaissance Park for a mindful movement class focusing on connecting breath to movement. This class is beginner friendly. Bring your own yoga mat, water and an open mind. Part of the proceeds will be used to support a local LGBTQ+ organization for Pride Month. Sign up here!
Thursday, June 22: “Dining Out For Life” with Cempa Community Care
Join Cempa Community Care and local restaurants in the fight against HIV. Partnering restaurants will donate a portion of their proceeds to benefit those affected by HIV in the Tennessee Valley. Participating is easy! Simply dine at one of the restaurants listed on the website to make a difference. Learn more here!
Friday, June 30: “Pride Party” at Chattanooga Whiskey Event Hall
Come party with Chattanooga Pride and Cempa Community Care for a Pride Month grand finale! Doors open at 8 PM and the show starts at 9 PM. Details to be announced closer to the date of the event. Follow Chattanooga Pride on Instagram for more information.
Chattanooga Pride, managed by the non-profit Tennessee Valley Pride, works year-round to unite the local LGBTQ+ community and allies through events, activism and support networks. Chattanooga’s official Pride Festival happens every year in October. Mark your calendars for October 7 - 8. Interested vendors can apply here.
