Meet The Team: Amanda Mayo Leming
We’re back! And this time we’d like to introduce Amanda Mayo Leming - River City Company’s Director of Operations and Special Projects!
A dog mom, foodie and one of the funniest people in the office, Mayo is vital to our charismatic team.
Amanda has an extensive background in property management, focusing on business development and project management. She has worked in community development and engagement - serving over 3 years on the Nightingale Network Grant Committee for Womens Fund of Greater Chattanooga as well as 2 years as Secretary on the Board of Directors to the Nooga Diversity Center. She is passionate about making downtown accessible and inclusive for all Chattanooga area residents and visitors – and her passion shines through in her work.
We sat down to ask her a few questions about herself to better introduce her to our followers! Enjoy!
What is your role here at River City?
My role changes and evolves based on the projects we have going on. I get to support our whole team wherever they need help and take care of the logistics in many big picture items that impact our office and how it runs. I also take on special projects like running our data dashboard, research for development projects with our city and county offices, and small projects that don’t fall into other departments.
What is your favorite project you’ve been a part of here at River City?
I don’t have a favorite project, honestly. My favorite part of being with RCC is that we have the opportunity to be involved in a multitude of different projects and events. I suppose that means my favorite project is the ever growing and evolving task of shaping our city to be its best self. It’s always exciting!
What’s your favorite place to grab dinner in Chattanooga?
My house. HA. My husband and I love to cook and try new things, and we’re pretty good at it! But if you’re asking for recommendations for the general public… just try all the local places. We have too many good chefs and establishments to have one favorite place.
What is a hidden talent or a hobby you have?
Unfortunately, I don’t have any hidden talents. I wish I did have some type of party trick though.
My hobbies include watching organizational TikTok’s, filling my amazon shopping cart and then buying nothing, crying over how cute my dogs are, and doing everything in my power to leave the country at least once a year to explore other places and cultures.
As always, we hope these posts make you feel welcomed into our office by getting to know our team members individually! Keep an eye out for the next team member to pop up on our social media accounts. Happy November!
