Urban Design Challenge:
Local urban design teams have been tapped to create the best future for key downtown sites as part of River City Company's year long Urban Design Challenge. Six teams made up of local architects, developers & designers were chosen to create concept plans for improving the six key downtown sites.
In addition to reanimating these key opportunities for development, the Challenge stresses the importance of urban design in downtown as well as showcases our local talent in architecture and design. Team concepts were presented to the public throughout the year, and the most outstanding project was awarded in the Summer of 2012.
