Cooper’s Alley Advisory Committee

Cooper’s Alley is a public space owned by the City of Chattanooga. River City Company holds a permit with the City of Chattanooga to effectively manage activation and reservation of the space. River City seeks to manage the space with input representative of the community it serves. The committee will include business owner(s), property owner(s), resident(s), downtown worker(s), non-downtown resident(s), public space expert(s), event producer(s), public art representative(s) and creative(s). The committee serves with the following intentions:

• The Cooper’s Alley Advisory Committee’s role is to uphold the integrity of the space ensuring that the alley is accessible to the public, available to the community while maintaining the local business owners’ voice

• Committee members serve as advocates for the space and the programming that takes place there

• The Committee seeks to maintain an equitable process for using Cooper’s alley, providing input on process and preserving the design intent respective of the artists

• The Committee advises on maintenance and usability of the space
